About this course
This course covers the technique for performing a full body massage routine. It also includes an anatomy & physiology work pack with clear diagrams. Consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications and contra-actions to treatments.
Our experienced tutors always makes sure that the course is both engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform Body Massage treatments.
Your manual will be emailed to you 1 week before your course, so you should definitely start studying as soon as it arrives.

Course Type, Theory and practical
Theory Hours
Approximately 21 hours of study time will be required to complete the theory element of this course. In addition you will be expected to practice body massage on your friends and family for as many hours as you require to feel confident performing a treatment.
Practical hours
Approximately 16 hours of practical training will be required to complete your assessment day. (Solo tuition 2 Days, model required)

Who is this course for?
An excellent introduction for those of you wishing to develop a new skill in the art of reflexology.
In this two day workshop you will learn the fundamentals of reflexology and how to carry out a reflexology treatment on the feet.

What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring with you to class the following items:
- Pen and paper
- light flat single sheet to lie on
- One medium sized Towel
- One hand towel
- Antiseptic or antibacterial wet wipes (for cleaning hands and feet)
- Face mask (to be worn on site)
This course does qualify you to practice professionally, insurance can be purchased from the Westminster insurance

This course is taught via short lectures/presentations, with the emphasis being on the practical demonstrations by your tutor followed by practice in pairs.
Students will be required to practice on each other, it’s a very hands-on day!

A 1 day course which is great for those wishing to learn more about massage, wishing to learn a new skill or just seeing if massage is a career for you! A Great foundation before embarking on a Level 3 Massage course.
This course is also suitable for those wishing to refresh their skills.

How will you be taught?
This course is delivered with a variety of short lectures and Demos by your tutor followed by practice in pairs.
You will learn how to carry out a massage with some basic movements.
You will cover:

- Contra indications and contra actions to massage
- Massage oils, differences, benefits and uses
- Massage Movements
- Massage routine of either legs or arms.
This course does not qualify you to practice professionally.
The maximum group size is 4 learners.
Massage oil and couches are provided by the Training centre.
